Welcome to Year 4! We are an enthusiastic and friendly team who look forward to welcoming you! We have two classes in Year 4, the adults in 4M are Miss Middleton and Miss Huber. The adults in 4O are Miss O’Rourke and Miss Hodgetts.
As we are the oldest children at The Orchards, we have lots of responsibilities in school.
Head Boy and Head Girl: We are responsible for collecting the voice of all the pupils at The Orchards focussing on important topics. We attend School Council Meetings and share the messages with the children in Reception and Year 1. We are also involved in special assemblies and celebrations and we welcome new visitors into our school.
School Council: The School Council is represented by 1 child from each class who was voted in by their peers. In Year 4, along with our 2 members, we also have the chair of the School Council who is responsible for working with Mrs Richardson to organise the meetings and take notes. These are then shared with all of the children.
Wellbeing Ambassadors: We are involved in ensuring that children feel safe at The Orchards. We are the voice of all the children and we spend our time talking to others and giving them advice on where to get support if they are concerned about something.
Sports Crew: We organise fun activities for all our children! We take the lead with running events on the playground and keeping a tally of improving scores! We work alongside Miss Snape and Mr Haden to think of new games and we love sharing what others have achieved!
Play Leaders: Each day, a group of play leaders work with different year groups so everyone has a play leader at all times. We love being involved with games and fun on the playground and making sure everyone feels welcome!
